"Thank you for making my run in the Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon so good. Last year I suffered badly with blisters and struggled to finish inside the cut-off times during the last three days of the event. This year was a completely different story thanks to ENGO blister patches. I do not normally suffer from blisters but in the heat of the desert my feet swell and start to rub despite wearing larger sized trainers than normal. This year on day two I started to develop a blister on the side of one of my big toes. I applied a small ENGO patch to the inside of my shoe and had no further problems in that area. Later on, during the 75km stage of the race, I developed hot spots on the balls of my feet and some blisters. I treated the blisters and applied a large ENGO blister patch to the insole of each shoe which meant I was able to complete the final three days at a good pace with none of the problems that I encountered the previous year. In future, now I know where my problem areas are, I will fix the patches in place before the event and take some spares with me just in case."

"When I get blisters they are either on the back of my heel, on the front of my arches and on the end of my toes. So I used 4 larger patches, one on the heel and one on the arch in each shoe. I didn’t put the ones in the end where my toes go. They are *very* sticky indeed and stick to your shoe like sh*t to a blanket, I managed to get them in OK but they can easily fold and ruffle at the edges which could be a problem so it’s worth spending the time making sure they are smoothed down. Once in you can’t feel them at all, they don’t give any extra slidey bits in your shoe like too much cream or an extra clump of cream can do. 6 days prior to the run I had a hole in my sock which caused a small/medium blister on my heel, this got no worse and I didn’t remember it was there till I took my shoe off. There were no blisters on the arches and nothing new on the heel. Not even a hot spot. It wasn’t particularly hot, cold or wet and the terrain was grass - hard pack & flat.
They certainly get my thumbs up. After a few more runs with decent socks, without socks, no cream etc I will report back, it says 6 weeks/300 miles and as sticky as they are I can believe it."

"I have had consistent problems with blisters on both of my heels, particularly whilst running. I have a very prominent calcaneus bone in each foot, which used to cause me great problems. Before I discovered these pads, I tried changing running shoes, I tried numerous different pairs, and they did not seem to have an impact on my on-going problem with blisters. When I was given some blue heel pads by The London Orthotic Consultancy, I had tremendous improvements with the problem I was incurring. I have had no problems with blisters on my heel since I have been wearing these pads. My current pads have lasted me 6 months, and are just about ready for renewal. I would recommend them to anybody who suffers any sort of skin irritation on their feet whilst walking or running."

"This product works and I totally endorse and recommend its usage. Although devices/orthoses are used to maintain correct foot function, excessive pronation after heel strike and subsequent friction can still cause blisters when walking for long periods of time. (They also help when breaking in new shoes/boots when the heel counter is very rigid and causes friction burns.) To be able to prevent blisters from forming by sticking a simple plaster within a shoe or trainer is fantastic. Purchasing ENGO plasters from London Orthotics is to be highly recommended, an A* service for happy feet!"

"I use full custom made Orthotic Insoles and experience a lot of heat resulting in blistering on the balls of my feet especially when using racing flats. Having just run the European Veterans Championship Marathon five weeks prior to my local marathon I gave them a go. They’re great!! They stay put and you don't know that they are there unlike plasters that stick directly on your feet. It was a true test with the rain which soaked my feet and I had no blisters."
